Daaibooi Beach is located next to Karakter beach and right next to the Oasis Coral Estate Beach, Dive & Wellness Resort. This beach is unique because of its unspoiled surroundings. It is a great place for a BBQ, and these are organised here regularly, especially on Sundays when this beach is mainly visited by local Curacao families coming together to BBQ. There is a beach tent where you can get a drink and buy snacks. This beach tent is run by Kees, a former marine who enjoyed Curacao so much, he never wanted to leave. The special thing about Daaibooi Beach is that not many people come to this sandy beach. The calm and intimate atmosphere make it special; no wonder the locals of the island love to come here. The beach is completely accessible for free. The many yellow Bananaquits birds who happily fly around here are truly remarkable. You will also find lots of Curacao iguanas around the beach. They look almost prehistoric, but don't worry: they will not harm you.
Facilities at Daaibooi Beach
Daaibooi is freely accessible and does not have any opening hours. But it is not advisable to stay here for long after the sun goes down. When Kees closes, everyone goes home, and it gets very quiet on this beach. On the beach, you can rent the famous parasol made of palm leaves, the so-called palapas, with a luxurious sun lounger underneath. There are also showers and changing rooms. In Kees’ snack bar, which is recognisable by the long sloping roof and open side walls, you can have a drink at the bar or order something to eat. It is a great place to snorkel, but we recommend renting your snorkels at our resort so that you do not run the risk of getting a defective snorkel.
