In and around Ouddorp there are a lot of different places to see and daytrips possible. Below you will find some more information about selected daytrips and activities in the nearby area of Ouddorp. On the map below you can see the location of these activities. The star in the map is the location of Oasis Parcs Punt-West. 




1. Harbor of Ouddorp

This beautiful idyllic harbor was constructed in 1860-1861. Previously it functioned as a fishing port, now it is a marina. The harbor has 175 berths of which part is meant for visitors.

The clubhouse of the harbor 'Reddingsloods' has a unique view of the water and can be seen from afar. In season there is a tasty daily menu. It is about 20 minutes walking from the harbor to the center of Ouddorp where there are many different shops to find. From the harbor there are dark-red signs marked with the correct route to the center.

2. Goatfarm Mekkerstee

The Goatfarm Mekkerstee Ouddorp is designed to provide people with a mild mental disability or psychosocial problems meaningful daily activities. You can visit the goat farm and walk between the goats and other farm animals. The milk of the goats is used to produce organic goat cheese. Guests can also enjoy homemade ice cream in the sountry store (‘Landwinkel’). Various fair trade products are sold in the country store where you can literally feel the atmosphere of rural life. You can also visit the charming lunchroom for homemade apple pie or pancakes with a cup of coffee. The goat farm is open year round from Tuesday until Saturday from 9:00h to 17:00h and admission is free.

3. RTM-museum

The Rotterdam Tramway Society (short for RTM in Dutch) museum has much to offer. There is a possibility to take a ride in a restored train which takes about an hour. For current departure times, please contact reception or the website of the RTM Museum. A return trip includes a visit to the museum and a family ticket costs (2 adults and 2 children) € 25,-. The museum is open on journey days from 10.30h to 17.00h. From 14 May to 26 September, the museum and the museum shop are also open on Saturday and Wednesday. The store and the museum are open from 12:00 to 17:00.

4. Swimming paradise het Zuiderdiep

At about 10-15 minutes drive from Oasis Parcs Punt-West, in Stellendam, is the Swimmingpool the Zuiderdiep, located. The pool is open daily (excl. Sunday). 

5. Delta Park Neeltje Jans

The famous Delta Park Neeltje Jans is about a half hour drive from Punt-West. The park offers various activities such as discovering the aquarium and the whale world. Furthermore, it also has a water park, called Aquasplash and various attractions. You can also join a tour boat that gets you acquainted with the unique nature of the Oosterschelde.

6. Vineyard the Kleine Schorre

At the Wijnhoeve the Kleine Schorre located in Dreischor various activities are offered. For instance, you can enjoy a guidedtour around yard and some wine tasting (groups from 10 people). Here all your questions about grapes, wines and the farming will be answered. Tickets are on sale at the shop of the vineyard or via the local Tourist Office. The farm also has a wine tasting room, including terrace. Here you can enjoy a special lunch with all kinds specialties of Zeeland. Between the 1st of April and 1st of November, the lunchroom of the winery is open from wednesday to saturday from 11:00 to 17:30 hours. In July and August, the lunchroom is also opened on Tuesdays and Sundays from 11:00 to 17:30 hours.

7. Seal sanctuary and exhibits A Seal

Visit the special seal sanctuary and exhibits A Seal at Stellendam. A Seal is in the nearby area of Punt-West and is well worth a visit. At A Seal young seal pups which have lost their mother are being taken care of. Also sick and injured seals are collected and cared for. After their recovery these cute sea creatures are released, mostly on the beaches in Ouddorp and Renesse. At A Seal you can see up close how true seals are being cared for daily by volunteers. Also, you can find out what types of seals live in the area of ​​Ouddorp and what their characteristics are. You might also spot seals during your stay at Punt-West.

A Seal is open daily from 10:00 to 18:00 and special packages are offered for groups. Moreover, all the income of the entry fees go directly to the seal sanctuary. Make your stay at Punt-West more special by exploring the beautiful area of ​​Ouddorp.

Cycling and hiking

It is possible to rent bicycles at the reception of Punt-West Hotel & Beach Resort. For more information or hiking and cycling route maps, please contact the reception or the Tourist Office in Ouddorp. One of our favorites is the bunker route past ‘De Punt’:

Bunker Route ‘De Punt’

At walking distance Punt-West Hotel & Beachresort can be found the bunker along ‘de Punt’. For months, volunteers with shovels dug into the bunkers that were below the dune. Now you can hike through the bunkers trail of about 1 kilometer long. Along the way there are information panels on which information is described on the functions of the bunkers and the flora and fauna in the area. Many original details of the bunkers have been preserved. There is a theme trail with information about the bunkers developed, which is available for purchase at the tourist office.


Zeeland is renowned for its capabilities around water sports. Just 10 minutes by bike from the resort Punt-West you will find the well-known sailing and surfing center Brouwersdam. You can use different packages. Furthermore, it is possible to follow surfing courses, private and group lessons from March to November. At the water sports center of the Brouwersdam you can rent surf material, boats, sups and longboards.
